PROFESSIONAL BIO

Brian Chaplin, Ph.D., has 17 years of research experience in the development of novel technologies for water treatment and environmental sensing. He has secured ~ $1.5 M in funding for these projects and published 28 papers in journals such as Environmental Science and Technology, Journal of Membrane Science, Electrochimica Acta, and the Journal of the Electrochemical Society. His research is primarily focused on utilizing electrochemical techniques and processes for the purification of water and environmental monitoring. In addition to being a co-founder of Zyvant Research & Innovations, Brian is an Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he heads a research group and teaches classes in Membrane Separations, Electrochemical Methods, and Mathematical Modeling. At Zyvant Brian consults in the areas of water quality and treatment, water recycling and reuse, electrochemical method development and training, and experimental design.
